Congressional Ave extension is a busy main road. We pass by it everyday on our way out to QC along with huge trucks that most likely go to NLEX with their deliveries. At night though, Congressional Ave opens up as a foodie haven. A lot of small food stalls have opened along “Congrext” and one of them is Box Park, which is a small lot jampacked with food stalls that were build out of small container vans! It’s a cute concept but the best part is that they all offer pretty decent food at affordable prices.
I have yet to try each and everyone of these but my favorite among those that I’ve eaten from is the steak pie from Pie Guys.

These guys turned the typical British steak pie and invented the “mashinator”, which means that the pie comes with mashed green peas and mashed potatoes.

It’s a full meal by itself. The pie crust is flaky, light and buttery and the steak is savory. The gravy is light and it brings out the meaty flavor of the steak wonderfully. The mashed peas and potatoes just brings all the pie together.

I ate the pie with so much gusto! I wanted to buy one more to take with me to the office the next day but I wasn’t sure if the pie would hold up.
